About FreeFileTools

FreeFileTools is the file-tool service on freepdfconverter.se. It offers seven tools for PDF, DOCX, JPG and PNG: convert between selected formats, combine PDFs, extract pages and try to reduce PDF file size. There is no account, subscription or document-upload step.

How a selected file is handled

Your browser reads the selected file and runs document-processing libraries in the page. The result is a separate file you choose to download. The conversion engines do not upload the selected document to a server.

The website still needs network requests to load its pages, code, fonts and PDF support resources. Local document processing does not mean the website receives no ordinary request data or that it works offline. The privacy page describes that distinction.

Choose a tool for the result you need

  • PDF to Word rebuilds editable text from an existing PDF text layer. It does not reproduce exact layout or perform OCR.
  • Word to PDF lays out DOCX body content in a new PDF. Fonts and advanced document features may change.
  • Images to PDF places each JPG or PNG on a page; PDF to JPG renders complete pages as images.
  • Merge PDF combines documents in the order you choose; Split PDF extracts page ranges.
  • Compress PDF compares actual input and output sizes. Strong mode turns pages into images and can remove text functionality.

Limits are part of the service

Files are limited to 50 MB each. Tools that accept multiple files allow up to 20 in a batch, subject to a combined-size limit. Page counts, image dimensions and rendering work are also bounded to limit memory use. A device can still run out of memory on a demanding document.

We do not promise exact conversion, support for every browser, ATS compatibility or preservation of digital signatures. Check each tool's stated limitations, keep the original and open the output before relying on it.

Advertising and measurement

This version does not load advertising or external analytics tags, and downloads are not gated behind an advert or payment. Enabling either in a later version requires real configuration and an implemented consent mechanism. No advertising approval or certification is claimed.
